After a splendid hike in the mountains today,
I returned to the quaint 1830 cottage where a
roaring fire beckoned and the crisp bed linen had
been turned down. I requested dinner and after a truly traditional meal of free range Karoo lamb and venison, with rice and steamed vegetables, I have now retired to the patio which stretches along the side of the cottage for a night-cap. The night sky seems so much clearer and the stars are so much brighter. My only regret is that you are not here to share it with me. What a marvelous adventure this would be for the children.
